EXAMINATION SCHEDULE 2019-2020

Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation Scheme will be followed in Classes I – V. Three Evaluation pattern and five point grading system will be followed for Classes I-V.

Classes I – V:

The objective of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation in primary classes is to shift the focus of academic activities towards enrichment of the total personality of the learners. Three evaluation pattern is followed for classes I to V.

Evaluation I: April, May, July, August.

Evaluation II: September, October, November, December.

Evaluation III: January, February, March.

Each evaluation will be of 50 marks and 2 hrs duration.

Class X: From the academic session 2019-20, compulsory board exams have been restored for class X. 80% weightage will be given to the marks scored in the exam while 20% will be based on school based evaluation. The details of weightage based on school based evaluation will be as per the guidelines issued by CBSE.

Classes XI – XII: The academic year is divided into four terms. Each term will be followed by an exam. The weightage for each exam for Class XI is as follows:

Parent–Teacher meetings will take place periodically after every exam as per schedule announced by the school.

Note for Classes VI TO XII.

  1. In order to qualify for promotion, candidates must obtain a minimum of D grade on the basis of cumulative results in each of the subjects taught.
  2. A student who has put in atleast 75% of the actual attendance during the session is generally eligible to appear for the annual examination. In genuine cases, the Principal may however, condone the shortage in attendance.
  3.  The scholastic profile of the student from VI-X will be reflected on a nine point scale. The absolute marks will be translated into grades in assessments.
  4. For classes VI to X, grades will be allotted for co-scholastic aspects of development over the total span of learning time.
  5. A duplicate report card can be issued only after payment of Rs 200/-

Note for Class IX & XI:

  1.     In Class IX & XI, the student has to pass independently in theory & practical to be eligible for promotion to classes X & XII respectively.
  2.    The final result of classes VI-IX & XI will be based on the child’s performance throughout the year.
  3.     No Re-Test will be conducted for failures in the final examination as per rules.
